ESTATE RAILINGS
Estate Railings from Zaun are possibly the most traditional form of permanent fencing available on the market and are increasingly popular. Today estate fencing is ideal for large estates, agricultural farmland and housing estates to provide a traditional look to your perimeter.
Zaun’s range of estate railings, designed and manufactured in our factory in Wolverhampton, are fabricated with round bar rails as standard, providing greater strength, robustness and rigidity.
Each estate railings system is supplied in 2 metre wide bays with posts on each end and a support post in the centre of the bay. Each post is manufactured using a 25mm x 50mm hollow section, providing additional strength and rigidity to the fencing system.
Estate fencing bays are connected on both sides using security self-tapping bolts, with each post sitting flush next to the other. Supplied as standard at 1m high, although other heights are available upon request.

The estate railing system is available galvanised only or in your choice of RAL colours. Matching swing gates can also be supplied to complete the perimeter.

All Zaun posts/panels/gates and painted auxiliary components (for example, clamp-bars, slide bolts etc.) benefit from a protective zinc layer and electrostatically applied polyester powder coating to BS1722 p16. Care is taken with pre-treatment to ensure sound adhesion between the zinc and paint layers.
In a UK C1 environment, as defined in ISO 12944 p2, this should ensure a useful life expectancy of the fence of at least 15-20 years. Life expectancy in all environments can be extended by maintaining the fencing with regular washing. Useful life will be reduced if the fencing is damaged. Any coating damage should be repaired to reduce the effect on useful life.
Enhanced painting systems such as marine coatings are also available for improved life expectancy in C2-C5M environments.
ESTATE RAILINGS POSTS & FIXINGS
The Estate Railing system features a unique stepping post, which holes every 120mm, providing a simple and easy stepped installation method. Supplied with self-tapping security bolts and installed using either power or hand tools.
ESTATE RAILINGS INSTALLED ON SLOPING GROUND
Panels can be stepped as required on the post. For example, panels can be stepped in 120mm increments, using the pre-drilled stepping holes on each post.
ESTATE RAILINGS VARIATIONS
Posts are available in different lengths to accommodate panel heights & ground conditions. Additional variations are also available: Wall fixing, cranked posts or base plated. Bespoke panels can be manufactured to be raked & radiused. Additional 90 degree & corner posts are also available
ESTATE GATES
Pedestrian gates are single leaf 1.2m wide (or width to suit), framed in a 50mm x 50mm RHS with Estate Railing style panels within the gate frame, with slide latch and slow closer. Gate supplied with 2 x suitable gate posts.
Vehicle access gates are double leaf (single leaf vehicle gates available) 3.0m wide (or width to suit), framed in 50mm x 50mm RHS, with Estate Railing style panels within the gate frame, with drop bolts and slide latch. Gate supplied with 2 x suitable gate posts.
