MATERIALS
The Waterette is made from steel square bars that have undergone an anti-rust treatment (cataphoresis) and were subsequently powder-coated. Couplings, taps, and the gun are made of brass. These are non-oxidizing materials and require no maintenance. The cross connections are made from turned robinia wood. Robinia is a very durable wood species that turns grey under the influence of water and UV.
MAINTENANCE
If moss appears, it should be removed. This can be done with water, soap, and a hand brush. Moss can damage the wood over time. When rolling up the garden hose, it is best to bring the end of the hose with the gun to the reel first. This makes winding easier and reduces the chance of damaging the gun. Additionally, avoid rolling the hose neatly like a spool; instead, roll it loosely and casually.
This creates more space for the garden hose to contract during a cold night, thereby preventing the cross wooden blocks that form the drum from being overstrained by the hose shrinking. In freezing weather, there is a risk of frost damage to the central shaft! Please disconnect the garden hose that supplies the water and drain the water from the Waterette by slightly tilting it for a few seconds so the water can flow out of the pipe. Also, ensure the water gun is emptied by disconnecting it from the hose and pressing the button.
