The frame is made from lightweight, robust fiberglass tubing, ensuring strength and stability. The side panels are made of acrylic canvas, available in various standard colors, and are both fade-resistant and waterproof.

MATERIALS
The wooden lid is made from thermo ash wood and has been oiled several times with Rubio oil. Keep your lid clean, free from moss and decaying leaves. This can be done with a hand brush, water, and soap. Please also ensure the chest is slightly tilted to the left or right. This helps promote drainage through the holes on both short sides. Make sure to regularly clear these holes to prevent stagnant water from collecting on your lid.

MAINTENANCE
Depending on the exposure of your Chest’r (sun, rain, trees…), the wood can be re-oiled. First, scrub the planks of the lid thoroughly and allow them to dry for a few days. Once dry, you can rub the planks with Rubio Monocoat. A bottle of this oil is included in the packaging upon delivery. The fabric around the chest should always be tightly stretched, like a drum.
This can be done by first sliding the edge of the cover fabric a few millimeters above the black feet at the bottom. (see the Chest’r assembly manual) Then, evenly tension the two ratchet buckles at the back. This fabric can be replaced if it gets damaged.
