Schindler 5000 saves valuable building space by combining the compact gearless machine, drive, and control equipment in the hoistway.
2. SMALLER MOTOR AND TRACTION SHEAVES
Schindler’s Suspension Traction Media (STM) provide a quieter, smoother ride and does not require any oil or lubricant. STM save shaft space due to the smaller motor and traction sheaves, 70% smaller than traditional systems. For passengers that means a smooth, quiet ride, while building owners enjoy increased reliability and efficiency.

Schindler 5000 elevators come standard with our innovative, regenerative drive system optimized to reduce travel energy up to 30% compared to conventional technology.
4. BUILT-IN INSPECTION AND TEST PANEL
Our Door Frame Cabinet (DFC) consolidates the controls, inspection and test panel, transfer switch, the connectivity hub, and electrical disconnects into one easy-to-access assembly. In addition, we've given you the flexibility to place the DFC on nearly any floor of the building.
