Latermix Forte is a lightweight, shrinkage-compensated screed with a semi-dry consistency (damp soil).
Lightweight screeds made with Latermix Forte are ideal for the renovation of existing floors and slabs, as they reduce overloads and, thanks to their compensated shrinkage, are suitable for application on large surfaces without joints.

Latermix forte is a ready mix bagged mortar, based on laterlite plus expanded clay, which provides thermal insulation and reduced weight, ready for use as a screed after mixing with water. Latermix forte is suitable to take all types of floor covering in interiors, whether bonded or floating floor finishes.

SHRINKAGE COMPENSATED MORTAR – IDEAL FOR LARGE SURFACES
Latermix Forte extremely low shrinkage enables large areas to be laid without joints (up to 100 m2). Lightweight partition walls (< 150 kg/m) can be installed after the screed has been laid (see technical data sheet).

SCREED FOR ALL TYPES OF FLOORING
Latermix Forte special formulation gives controlled drying times for moisture-sensitive finishes, and permits any type of flooring to be applied.
LIGHTWEIGHT SCREED
Latermix Forte weighs approximately half as much as a traditional or flowing screed (approx. 1.050 Kg/m3 when laid). It reduces dead loading and is particularly suitable for reconstructing existing floors and roofs or to prevent excessive loading in seismic zones.
STRONG, STABLE, DURABLE, AND CE-MARKED SCREED
Latermix Forte has high compressive strength (16 MPa), is CE-marked to denote conformity to EN 13813 (screed materials and floor screeds), is dimensionally stable and non-deformable, and retains its properties unaltered over time.

INSULATING CHARACTERISTICS
Because it is 6 times more insulating than traditional or flowing screeds (thermal conductivity lambda λ =0.258 W/mK) Latermix Forte improves the thermal resistance of floor and roof slabs and reduces thermal bridging. Its porosity improves acoustic insulation, including in association with specific resilient layers (see acoustic matting products).

Latermix Forte is a 100% mineral non-combustible mortar (Euroclass fire rating – A1) that is fire-resistant and safe, including in the presence of fire.

Its use of natural raw materials, its manufacturing process, which respects the environment, and the absence of harmful emissions (even in the presence of fire), make Latermix Forte suitable for sustainable construction as certified by ANAB-ICEA, the Italian Accreditation Institute.
