The relationship of formal antithesis between inside and outside determines the design of Diamond, a collection of countertop washbasins in two sizes and an equal number of setting possibilities designed by Paolo Ulian.

PAOLO ULIAN

He trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara and subsequently graduated from the ISIA in Florence.

At the end of 1990 he moved to Milan where he began working as an assistant in Enzo Mari’s studio. In 2000 he exhibited at the Salone Satellite and won first prize at the first edition of the Design Report Award.

In 2009, Beppe Finessi curated his first solo exhibition at the Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan and the following year his second solo exhibition entitled “Tra gioco e discarica” was hosted at the Triennale di Milano, this time curated by Enzo Mari.

In 2011 he won the Social design Prize promoted by ADI and in 2013 he participated in the VI edition of the Triennale Design Museum with an installation dedicated to Vico Magistretti.

Since 2014, he has organized the annual exhibitions at the Magistretti Foundation in Milan.

In parallel with his work as a designer he has carried out teaching activities at numerous universities and design schools.

Some of his projects have entered the permanent collection of the Triennale Design Museum, the London Design Museum and the Montreal Museum of Fine Art.

Standard matt ʰnish, except for onyxes. Also available in other marble and ʰnishes on request.

KEY FEATURES

- The internal bowl, which can also be inclined in relation to the top, has a perfectly smooth finish and its seamless circular profile contrasts with the faceted finish of the outer shell, which also characterizes the edge.
- The game of triangular cuts exalts the marble – proposed in eight different types – and its natural shades, offering at the same time an elegant decorative pattern, yet essential and contemporary.

CLEANING

- Ordinary cleaning: should be done with a microfibre cloth and neutral, alcohol free cleaning products. Do not use aggressive products such as anti-lime, acids, abrasives, degreasers.
- Extra-ordinary cleaning: please refer to the cleaning and maintenance sheets.

UNPACKING

Before opening check the status of the case and the ShockWatch indicator, if they are damaged please contact the seller/manufacturer. Open the case by unscrewing the screws where present. Do not remove the side closed with spikes. Remove the opening board on the indicated marks. For installation of the product rely on qualiʰed personnel.

DRAIN

Click clack drain with marble cover, suitable for washbasins with and without overʱow. Mechanism for always open overʱow included in the package. Gasket integrated to the closing and opening mechanism of the drain.
