Pallet racking systems represent one of the best solutions for defining and organizing pallet storage on multiple levels.
These industrial metal shelving systems are used for pallet storage and improving warehouse logistics, especially in cases where heavy goods or products stored on pallets are involved.
This type of industrial shelving can be either static or compact. In the former case, there is a need for an aisle to allow passage between the shelves, while in the latter, the metal modules slide on guiderails.
The latter application is suitable for smaller warehouses and pallets with a low turnover rate. Pallet racking structures are modules that ensure simple and smooth access to pallets, increasing capacity and space.

The wide range of available profile sections, thicknesses, and complementary elements allows Scaffsystem to meet any requirement, which is why pallet racking is applicable to many sectors. One of the principal sectors this applies to is the retail industry, particularly the food sector, which needs to address the issue of product sorting within the store’s warehouse.
SHELVING
Suitable shelving often requires materials with high mechanical properties due to operating heights and the weight of the materials to be stored. For this reason, we have developed a range of special cold-formed profiles with different sections, thicknesses, and finishes. With this system, we can create steel uprights with a capacity of over 25,000 kg, and beams with a capacity, per pair, of up to 5,000 kg. This makes it a particularly functional system, especially in large-scale distribution.

This organizational system as described is comprehensive in every respect. Pallet racking can also have shelves dedicated to manual picking for managing small quantities of goods, giving rise to combined structures.

All projects are designed in full compliance with anti-seismic regulations. Our priority is safety, which is why we equip our shelving systems with important protective accessories, for instance:
- Pallet stoppers
- Spacer brackets
- Guardrails for single/double batteries
- Front bumpers for vertical uprights
SURFACE
To enhance workplace safety, the maximum load capacity is printed on each beam, and the metal pallet rack is designed with a non-slip surface for pallet support. Finally, the pallet is connected to a mounting bracket.
For the storage of loose goods or non-standard load units, we equip our shelving systems with a range of solutions that complement the required configuration:
- Galvanized steel shelves are available in different thicknesses and widths, and also available in a perforated version, particularly suitable for fire protection systems.
- Welded wire mesh panels, which provide exceptional strength in the case of concentrated loads.
- Transverse and longitudinal beam break systems, which ensure optimal load distribution and the ability to store pallets of various sizes.
