NEW NAUTILUSRECYCLED PLASTIC FORMWORK CONCRETE FLOOR SLAB
Recycled plastic formwork for the construction of lightweight concrete bidirectional slabs
New Nautilus is a modular formwork made of recycled polypropylene (PP) designed for the construction of lightweight reinforced concrete slabs poured on-site.
INFORMATION
BRAND
Geoplast
PRODUCT TYPE
Concrete Floor Slab
RETICULAR SLABS
The slabs maintain their bidirectional structure and create an orthogonal grid through the installation of disposable blocks (in concrete or terracotta) or reusable (in plastic or fiberglass). Leaving massive capitals in the pillars for the punching.
STRUCTURE
To create a structure with all the characteristics and strength points of standard slabs, but without their selfweight would look like an ideal solution, but lightened slabs:
LIGHTENING
Yes
REDUCTION
Seismic Mass Reduction
ANTISTIC
The reduction of seismic forces in play in some cases can be up to 30% compared to structures with other slab technologies.
NEW NAUTILUS MAIN ADVANTAGES
- Certificate rei 120
- Logistics advantages
- Reduced seismic risk
- Reduced iron consumption
- Reduced concrete consumption
- Reduced load over the foundations
- 5% less expensive than the ceiling slab

EXECUTIVE DESIGN AND ON-SITE ASSISTANCE
Support of specialized designers. A detailed analysis with installation diagrams and/or on-site support can be provided on request.
MAIN OBJECTIVES
Each choice must take into account three main objectives: respect for the planet (Planet), the well-being of people (People) and profitability for operators (Profit).
PRODUCTION
Made in Italy
MATERIAL
Recycled polypropylene (PP) 97-99%
PRELIMINARY DESIGN
Static analysis and preparation of documentation attesting to the reliability of the performance of the proposed system.
IMPLEMENTATION
Geoplast Technical Unit is at the disposal of architects and engineers to offer the required assistance during the implementation of a project.
REINFORCED CONCRETE
Reinforced concrete slabs are economical and simple to manufacture, allowing great architectural freedom and the elimination of extrados structures.
STRUCTURAL LIGHTENING
Their structural lightening makes it possible to reduce their own weight by 25-30%, with benefits that cascade throughout the structure, both in static and seismic conditions.
ENVIRONMENT
Outdoor
PERCENTAGE OF RECYCLED MATERIAL
100%
THE CENTRAL CONE
The central cone helps the operator to work well and with precision by guaranteeing:
- Limitation of lifting during casting;
- Perfect and homogeneous finish of the soffit.
- Security of completeness of the structural section;
- Visual check of the actual completion of the of the lower slab;
DETAIL
In all the solutions that are part of the Solai Division, these 3 objectives find a clear meeting point: lighter buildings, able to respond better to seismic stress and therefore safer for people, construction methods that significantly reduce the use of materials that involve a production process with high emissions of pollutants into the environment and, finally, a reduction in construction costs thanks to the adoption of cheaper but equally performing materials.
FREEDOM ARCHITECTURAL
The architecture of the building is not compromised by the use of the lightening elements; on the contrary, the technical value of the work is reinforced.

SLABS LIGHTENED
The slabs lightened with our elements allow a great deal of freedom in the arrangement of vertical structures and make it possible to achieve greater spans than with traditional slabs.
LIGHTENING SYSTEM FOR BIDIRECTIONAL SLABS
-New nautilus is a modular formwork made of recycled polypropylene (pp) designed for the lightening of the reinforced concrete slabs poured on-site. -The concept is the creation of a bidirectional slab that can be used for the realization of huge size floors with a reduced thickness; the recycled plastic lightening permits the obtainment of a structure composed of a lattice of eight-sided beams enclosed between an upper flat sheet and a lower one without any cast of new concrete.
-In this way the creation of flat intrados, large spans, bidirectional and capable of bearing huge loads slabs, is possible.
-This can happen thanks to the weight reduction and the reduction of concrete consumption valuable up to the 25%. -Beams and pulvines can be placed within the slab section (thickness elements) in order to realize wide slabs with high architectural flexibility and without structure obligations. -New nautilus system, is created with recycled materials, it's easy and fast to place in the construction site and sustains all the structure.
