The master glazier, Louis Barillet, developed a new artistic language with stained glass and was asked to decorate the Molitor swimming baths and the hotels of rue Mallet-Stevens.
He introduced geometric patterns inspired by both Art Deco and the Modern Architectural movement. Barillet assembled striated and diamond-shaped glass and incorporated coloured glass opals, bringing the stained glass to life with these contrasting materials.
