Asphalt Crack Filler is a polymer modified flexible crack filler to seal out water damage and erosion on cracked asphalt. Unsightly cracks in asphalt can lead to water seepage, erosion and accelerated deterioration of the surface. This rubberized product makes crack repairs easy. Simply decant liquid into a Spouted Jug and pour into the crack. Use on interior and exterior asphalt, tarmac, and concrete.
HOW TO APPLY
-Mixing : Stir well before use.
-Surface Preparation : Sweep or scrape out loose debris from the crack.
-Application : Do not use in wet conditions or if air and surface temperatures are below 40°F. Damp or cold weather will delay the drying time. The crack should be reasonably dry, although a little dampness may be tolerated.
-Cracks up to 1/8" wide : Pour the Asphalt Crack Filler into the cracks using a Spouted Jug. Any excess material that flows over the edge of the crack may be brushed to a thin film. Once the Asphalt Crack Filler has dried, dust it with very fine sand or cement to remove any residual tack
-Cracks 1/8 to 1" wide : Prime the sides of the crack with a brush coat of Asphalt Crack Filler. Mix Asphalt Crack Filler with our Sand Additive or to produce a slightly stiff mortar. Trowel into the crack and smooth off. Once the mortar is dry, dust with very fine sand or cement to remove any residual tack.
-Drying Time: Dry time varies widely depending upon weather conditions and size of the crack. Dry, warm conditions will accelerate drying. The product sets by evaporation of water. Damp, cold conditions will, therefore, delay drying. As a guide, approximately 2-4 hours should be allowed for cracks up to 1/4" wide and 6-10 hours for cracks up to 1" wide at 60-70°F.
