IDEAL ECO UNDERFLOOR HEATING 

The JUPITER Ideal ECO panel is the only insulating underfloor heating panel made from an entirely natural recycled woodfibre.

As an environmentally friendly alternative to polystyrene, our 30 mm thick Ideal ECO system panels are made from fibrous wood waste instead. The panels have a combined compressive strength of 150 kPa and will not sag or compress over time as inferior panels do.

As with all of our heating panels, Ideal ECO is equipped with rigid aluminium heat diffuser plates with an omega-shaped pipe channel and are compatible with all types of floor finish.

MATERIL

As the aluminium is a plate rather than a foil, it is able to sit in perfect contact with the pipe around the majority of its circumference by virtue of the cleverly designed and bevelled omega profile in the plates.

REMOVE 

Removes the need for a resilient layer below the underfloor heating system.

INSTALLE 

Our pipe clips robustly into these panels, this is simply not possible with inferior foil-faced panels where the pipe breaks the foil as it is installed.

RENDITIONS 

Aluminium spreader plates are integral to the panel and will not creak or squeak as inferior renditions of this product often do.

OUTPUT

Rigid 0.5 mm thick aluminium heat diffusion plates ensures maximum heat output, even at the reduced flow temperatures heat pumps operate most efficiently at.

ACOUSTICS AND ECO CREDENTIALS IN ONE PRODUCT 

In addition to being manufactured from a sustainable material, the system also provides acoustic deadening qualities in one product, removing the requirement for an additional resilient layer below the underfloor heating system that could otherwise complicate its installation. As a result of the panel’s comparatively high density, Ideal ECO contributes strongly towards acoustic performance required to meet Part-E regulations for a separating floor.

SUPPORT 

Install the perimeter insulation and support battens on a dry, flat and level substrate. Note: perimeter support battens are not necessary if our Screed Replacement Tile system is to be installed on top.

LAYING

UNHEATED 

Fill unheated areas (e.g. under fixed furniture, kitchen cabinets) with blank insulation panels. Additional support battens can be used to increase the strength of the system if required.

USE 

To minimise the use of a router, use the pre-formed elements for flow and returns and corners.

CUT PANELS 

Cut panels as required using a circular saw or jig saw between the aluminium plates. Never cut panels through the pipe channel as this will leave sharp edges that may damage the pipe.

CHANNELS 

Cut additional required pipe channels with a hand router and 20 mm routing bit. Take care to keep custom pipe curves in line with preformed panels. Too tight a bend will cause the pipe to kink. INSTALLING PIPE 

When installing pipe, form a large arc and press it home into the channel using your feet. Pipe bends within panels not equipped with aluminium should be formed by hand.

FITTING PIPE 

Take care when fitting pipe around corners. Tip: pipe tends to lift up – gently remove and bend downwards before putting back in place.
