KILZ RESTORATION® INTERIOR PRIMER 

KILZ RESTORATION^® Primer (Formerly KILZ MAX) is a new generation water-based primer, sealer and stainblocker offering performance of traditional oil and shellac-based primers.

KILZ RESTORATION Primer also seals persistent pet, food and smoke odors. Use on interior surfaces including drywall, woodwork, plaster, masonry, brick, painted metal, ceramic tile, glass and most other glossy surfaces^†

Topcoat with water-based or oil-based paint. Use to block odors from subfloor when replacing carpet or wood flooring.

CLEAN UP 

Clean all tools and equipment with clean water. For disposal of empty containers and unused product, contact your household refuse collection service.

RECOMMENDED FILM THICKNESS 

-Wet : 5.3 mils / Dry: 2.0 mils @ 300 Sq. Ft./Gal.
-Wet : 4.0 mils / Dry: 1.5 mils @ 400 Sq. Ft./Gal

-Ideal for interior drywall, wood, plaster, masonry, brick, painted metal, ceramic tile, glass, glossy surfaces and more -Blocks severe stains and helps prevent them from leaching through to the topcoat -Seals fire, smoke, cigarette and pet odors -Subfloor odor blocker when replacing carpet or wood flooring -Dries hard and sands easily -Can be top-coated with water-base or oil-base paint

KILZ® RESTORATION™ Primer is a new generation water-based primer, sealer and stainblocker offering performance of traditional oil and shellac-based primers. It tackles tough stains including heavy water damage, rust, smoke, nicotine, grease, tannin, ink, pencil, felt marker, pet stains and more. KILZ RESTORATION Primer also seals persistent pet, food and smoke odors. Topcoat with water-based or oil-based paint. Use to block odors from subfloor when replacing carpet or wood flooring.

APPLICATION

-Tip : .015" - .021"
-Filter : 60 mesh
-Brush : Nylon / Polyester
-Roller : 3/8" - 1/2" nap
-Airless Spray : Fluid pressure of 2,500 - 3,200 psi
-Thinning : Not recommended. Product is formulated for use at package consistency only.
-Dry Time : @ 77°F, 50% RH Longer dry time required in cooler temperatures and in higher humidity(To Touch: 30 Minutes, To Recoat: 1 hour)

SURFACE PREPARATION

-The surface must be clean, free of dust, grease, wax, peeling paint, mold, mildew and wallpaper paste. If washing is necessary, use a non-soapy detergent or a TSP substitute. Rinse well and allow to dry.
-Peeling or Checked Paint : Scrape off loose paint and sand to a smooth surface. Sanding or removal of paint containing lead is hazardous.
-Glossy Surfaces : For maximum adhesion, scuff sand the surface thoroughly before priming.
-Fire Restoration : It is critical to clean smoke damaged surfaces thoroughly before priming
-Masonry, Brick, Stucco and Plaster : KILZ RESTORATION Interior Water-Base Primer may be used on clean, dry, aged masonry surfaces. New masonry must be allowed to cure (dry) at least 30 days before applying KILZ RESTORATION Interior Water-Base Primer.
