INSTALLTION
Marley recommends following the Timber Decking and Cladding Association guidelines. Marley’s antislip range is designed to be robust and hard wearing. Due to the durable nature of our antislip resin/aggregate insert we recommend following our instructions when cutting our antislip deck boards.
-Use a hand or mechanical timber saw to cut the remaining timber. -At the required point of cutting; mark a straight line across the boards. -Use a 125mm angle grinder, with either a 3 or 5mm thick cutting disc (stone or steel work equally the same) to cut through the resin/aggregate insert. -Any exposed surfaces should be given two liberal coats of a brush on end grain preservative, this includes cross cutting, notches and drill holes. This will maintain the integrity of the protection. Our recommended product is Protim Water Based end coat which is available in 1 litre tins.
DETAIL
BENEFITS OF ANTISLIP PLUS®
-AntiSlip Plus® Decking uses a unique formula of grey resin-based aggregate inserts, which are injected into the deck board grooves. -For most uses two non-slip inserts are appropriate, but there are instances where three inserts should be used, such as on a public walkway that crosses water. Other applications also include footpaths. -Marley recommends the use of AntiSlip Plus® on decks with public access or where there is an anticipated high level of pedestrian traffic, including stairs and ramps.
-AntiSlip Plus® has been independently tested by the Health and Safety Laboratory.
