Rockfon Sonar tiles with B-edge are made especially for installation with adhesive. Low installation height makes it easy to utilise the existing room height fully and the system enables you to use different layout designs, aligned or offset.To ensure a long term solution, it is important that the adhesive used in compatible with both Rockfon Sonar and the soffit or substrate.
THE PRODUCTION PROCESS
The base material of Rockfon ceiling products is stone wool (resin bonded mineral wool) produced according to the principles of a volcanic eruption. By means of patented technology, stone is melted and transformed into wool with binders being added. In the following processes, the wool is shaped and cut according to specification and turned into ceiling tiles of various sizes, thicknesses and densities. Finally, a finishing treatment is applied giving the tiles an elegant and attractive surface finish.

FIRE PERFORMANCE
Stone wool is the safe basis of all ROCKFON products. It is made of basalt rock which is, by nature, non-combustible and does not melt below 1000°C.

-Smooth matt or micro-textured -Use our product selector to find products suitable for your ceiling project. -Rockfon ceiling products come with either a smooth matt or micro-textured surface. Both are suitable for most common applications.Special surfaces -We also provide surfaces for tough environments, such as schools where impact resistance is important, or for healthcare where cleanability and hygiene are key factors.
A EDGE
A edge tiles are a cost-effective solution that provides easy access to the installations hidden behind the ceiling. Tiles with an A edge are also the perfect complement to concealed and semi-concealed ceilings (e.g. when used as a perimeter trim). They can be mounted in grid systems with either T15 or T24 profiles. The grid system is less dominant with the narrower T15 profile.A edge tiles are demountable.

E EDGE
E edge tiles are installed in a visible grid system which looks recessed, creating a shadow between the tiles.These tiles have a straight (S) or leaning (L) edge and can be mounted in a grid system of either T15 or T24 profiles. The grid system is less dominant when using a T15 grid.Ceiling tiles with E edges are demountable.
VISIBLE GRID CELLING
Minimalist And Elegant
Concealed grid ceiling systems offer a minimalist and elegant appearance. They can be suspended, fastened directly or bonded with adhesive to the soffit. With no visible grid, even ceilings that contain services installations will appear uninterrupted.
D EDGE
Use D edge when you want an invisible grid but need to retain access to the ceiling void. For easy installation and removal, D edge tiles have C edges on two opposing sides and D edges on the others.They are fully demountable.

X EDGE
X edge tiles offer a near-monolithic appearance. They can be suspended on a T24 grid as an entire ceiling or as multi-module framed islands. They can also be direct-mounted to the soffit using X-hooks. Tiles of any size can be mixed and matched and are individually demountable.
