DETAIL
UNDERFLOOR HEATING
Our planks are very well suited for underfloor heating and we recommend installing it as a comfortable and durable solution. About 80% of our projects are established with underfloor heating. We have years of experience with underfloor heating under solid floors, and it is an unproblematic solution, provided you adhere our instructions.
UTMOST QUALITY
We source our raw wood from large oak trees of the finest quality from selected European forests where the stands are tended with the greatest care and respect for nature. The oak trees have been planted five or six generations ago and have weathered everything that has come their way over the past 150 to 200 years. It is an attainment and heritage that calls for respect, and we always strive to make the best possible use of the tree.
Although we only accept the best raw wood, even the most beautiful tree may hide surprises that are not revealed until it reaches the sawmill. Therefore, we evaluate every single plank manually several times during the production process as part of a constant effort to supply unique oak wood of the utmost quality to our clients. Dinesen Oak is produced in dimensions up to 5 metres long, 50 centimetres wide and 30 millimetres thick.
SUSTAINABILITY
As an old family business, we appreciate the importance of planning for the future. Therefore, we only use raw wood from sustainable forestry where the stands are tended with the greatest care and respect for nature. We source most of our wood from Germany, but we also work with other European countries where forestry has been based on sustainable principles for centuries.
An important element of sustainable forestry is cutting down one tree at a time, thus giving the trees a chance to grow strong and live out their total capacity, before they are felled and ready to serve new purposes. That is sustainability in practice.
