PREPARATION OF THE SUPPORT
The substrate must be completely hardened and of sufficient strength. The surface must be thoroughly clean, dry, and free of oil, grease, crumbling and loose parts or other materials that could impair the adhesion of the product.

PACKAGING

SAFETY

CLEANING
The equipment used can be washed with water before the product hardens.
METAL
Clean the surface thoroughly, removing dirt and any loose paint. Before applying Ultragum, prime metal surfaces with Grip Primer (see technical data sheet). If the metal surface is painted, it is advisable to carry out a test to check the perfect adhesion of the system.
WOOD
Carefully clean the surface removing dust, crumbling parts and loose flakes. The wood must be completely dry, well bonded and dimensionally stable. On untreated wooden substrates proceed with direct application of the product. In other cases, carry out a preliminary test to check adhesion. On boards, matchboards or supports with a high number of joints reinforce Ultragum with a sandwich system (Ultragum + Polites TNT + Ultragum).
MIXING
Ultragum is ready to use. It is recommended to mix it before application to make it homogeneous. In extremely hot weather conditions you can add 5% clean water and continue mixing. Never add foreign components to the product.
CONCRETE
New concrete substrates must be sufficiently cured. If there are cracks, holes or irregular areas, restore them with suitable cement mortar. For a better adhesion on smooth, not wet concrete, we recommend the use of Grip Primer (see technical data sheet). On damp substrates, in order to avoid blistering or detachment, use Vapostop (see technical data sheet) as primer. If the substrate is subject to rising damp, use WATstop (see Technical Data Sheet). WATstop can also be used to fill small cracks or crevices. On rough concrete use Vapostop primer (see Technical Data Sheet).

APPLICATION
-Wait for the primer to dry completely and apply a first coat of Ultragum with a longhaired roller, spatula, airless or brush. 2
-When the first coat is dry, apply a second coat in a criss-cross pattern, covering the entire surface. Continue application in successive layers until the expected yield is achieved and a minimum total thickness of 1.5 mm is reached to guarantee waterproofing. In case of rain on a product that is not perfectly dry, carefully check its suitability for subsequent coating.
FIELDS OF APPLICATION
Ultragum is designed for waterproofing smooth or slated bituminous membranes in combination with SBS-bond primer (see technical data sheet). The product, used in combination with Polites TNT (see technical data sheet), makes it possible to restore cracks, detachments and fissures in the membranes. Ultragum is also suitable for waterproofing flat or sloping concrete roofs, canopies, terraces, balconies, flashings, eaves, cornices, chimneys, foundation walls, walls, fibre cement slabs, indoor areas such as bathrooms, shower cubicles, kitchens and wet areas. Ultragum can be applied to existing floors or metal surfaces in combination with Grip Primer (see technical data sheet). Ultragum is also suitable for waterproofing wooden surfaces.
