The built-in heat exchanger turns this system into an energy-efficient solution. HOW DOES A BALANCED VENTILATION SYSTEM WORK?
A balanced ventilation system combines mechanical supply and mechanical, demand-driven extraction with a heat exchanger. This integrated heat exchanger recovers the heat of the extracted, polluted indoor air and uses it to warm up the colder, fresh outdoor air. That way, the energy consumed by the continuous operation of this ventilation system is compensated for by significant savings on heating costs.

ARE THERE ANY DOWNSIDES TO A BALANCED VENTILATION SYSTEM?
Compared to a demand-driven exhaust ventilation system, a balanced ventilation system involves fitting a significantly higher number of air ducts and requires more maintenance. For example, you'll need to clean and replace the filters in good time. Of course, you're guaranteed clean air in return. The low level of noise produced by the fans is another thing to consider, so make sure you request sound damping too.
