Profondo is characterized by circular, curve and straight carvings that create dynamic shapes and seem to be the result of breaking or cutting – this gives a sense of softness to marble, a material that in fact is renowned for its hardness.
Profondo can be composed in different textures depending on whether you are looking for a more dense or delicate pattern.

Defne Koz established her design studio in Milano creating best seller products for Alessi, Fontana Arte, Foscarini, and Leucos, and she pioneered design in Turkey working for VitrA, Alparda, Megaron, and Gaia&Gino.
Today she is one of the most world renowned Turkish designers. Marco Susani is a design visionary who extended the culture of Italian Design to new fields like Interaction Design and Strategic Design.
He started his career with Italian design guru Ettore Sottsass, worked in Milano at Olivetti, Sottsass Associati, and Domus Academy, moved to the US to create the Motorola Advanced Concept Group, and later was Motorola’s Global Vice President of Digital Design.
Among the recent projects are a vision for the future of urban transportation, a series of electric vehicle charging stations, an innovative calendar app, branding and packaging for water and soft drinks, a tablet app to integrate social networking with TV content, and concepts of connected kitchen appliances that help manage nutrition and wellness.
