Inspired by the traditional Japanese house’ slender and extensive mobile surfaces, Shoin is a system of sliding doors and fixed glass panels with one or two rails, designed to create walls. The panels are fixed within a slim aluminum frame, flush with the external side of the composition.
The Shoin sliding door creates a fluid and flexible system that divides the indoor spaces guaranteeing the maximum penetration of light and continuity between different settings.
Shoin transforms settings into luminous crystal boxes that lightly define spaces within spaces..

Dante Bonuccelli was born in Buenos Aires where he graduated in architecture, he is the founding partner of Avenue Architects, architecture, interior and industrial design studio based in Milan working on international projects. He taught Architectural Design at the Politecnico of Milan. For Lualdi he designed Shoin sliding system.
Specializes in project that require a high level of detail. He collaborated on prestigious projects with architecture studio such as: Atelier Jean Nouvel, Foster & Partners, Grafton Architects, Herzog & De Meuron, OMA Rem Koolhaas, SANAA.
Main clients of the studio are: Ansaldo, Università Bocconi, Cartier, Digital, ENI, Hoescht, Morningstar, Philips, Vaticano, Vodafone, Shiseido, Sony, Swarovski. Projects have been widely published across several books and international magazines, and been awarded prestigious prizes such as: EIMU, Compasso d’Oro, Neocon (USA), Good Design (USA) Red Dot Design Award (Germany), Best of Neocon (USA), Interior Design’s Best of the year (USA), MD (Germany).

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
Shoin is a sliding glass panel door fitted with a 50-mm thick leaf that can be configured in different systems made of sliding and fixed panels. This exclusive system for composing internal walls is available with 6-mm thick tempered glass and aluminum profile.
