Totally wrapped in natural stone, the Oyster bathtub could be described as a “design your own tub”.
With its beautifully simple structure, clean lines and over 40 possible combinations of finish, the Oyster bathtub is completely customisable to create the bathroom of your dreams.
Compatible with wall-mounted taps, the Oyster bathtub can be designed to match with Salvatori’s many textures to create a ‘total look’.
A ‘total look’ bathroom makes elegant use of Salvatori’s natural stone for walls, floor and accessories.No matter which stone you choose for Oyster Bathtub, it can complement items across Salvatori’s Home Collections to create a sophisticated bathroom aesthetic.
Available in Bianco Carrara, Crema d’Orcia, Gris du Marais, Pietra d’Avola and Silk Georgette® and in a choice of the following textures: honed, Bamboo, CNC, Infinito*, Lithoverde®, Raw, Stone Tatami and Tratti*. Please note that Infinito is not available in Silk Georgette® and Tratti is available only in Bianco Carrara and Pietra d’Avola.

SALVATORI DESIGN CENTRE
Within the Salvatori Design Centre is a diverse group of talented artists and architects who are behind many of our signature products.
Under the guidance of our CEO and Creative Director Gabriele Salvatori, the team are constantly engaged in developing and designing products that meet the Salvatori brand criteria of elegance, functionality and sustainability.
While many of our products are the result of wonderful collaborations with leading international names, a number of perennial favourites were devised by our in-house team.
Bamboo, for example, is the brainchild of Gabriele himself, inspired by a meal in a Japanese restaurant in New York at the turn of the Millennium as he absentmindedly studied the placemat in front of him.
Lithoverde®, the world’s first recycled stone texture, is another groundbreaking product that emerged from our headquarters in Northern Tuscany, just a few miles away from the inspiring Apuan Alps, home to the revered Bianco Carrara marble.
We have long believed that natural stone is a beautiful material that requires only an innovative twist to transform it into a stunning texture, item of furniture or accessory and this is the starting point for the Salvatori Design Centre.
While stone remains our core material, over the years we have combined it with others such as metal and wood, resulting in designer accessories such as the Quadro mirror and Gravity paperweight series.
Our vision of design for the home also encompasses our sense of smell, resulting in the creation of our series of fragrances.
Romboo, Chevron, Infinito and Cotone are textures that are the fruit of the Salvatori Design Centre, as are classic staples such as our Stiletto basin, Filo Flush shower range and the versatile Oyster bathtub which allows you to create a bespoke designer bathtub.

GOOD TO KNOW
Oyster is compatible with either wall-mounted or freestanding taps. Please specify your requirements at the time of ordering so that we can make the appropriate modifications. Please note, however, that taps are not included. It can also be supplied with an access panel for inspection, so if you wish to have this, please specify on which side you would like it placed at the time of ordering.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- All our finished products leave our Tuscan premises pre-sealed. Since we do not like to paint the surface of our lovely stones with transparent paints or resins, we apply three coats of the highest possible level of protective sealant. This helps to preserve the product without compromising the wonderful natural look and feel of the stone.
- That said, please bear in mind that there is no sealer on the market that can make natural stone 100% stain proof, especially if you leave the staining agent on it for a prolonged period. The sealant acts as a temporary barrier that allows you to have a few hours between the moment a staining substance (for example, wine or coffee) comes into contact with the stone and the moment you wipe it off. The important thing is to act quickly before a substance is absorbed into the stone, as that is when it causes staining.
- Please DO NOT use cleaners containing abrasive cleansers, ammonia, bleach, acid or even those “homemade remedies” made from lemon, vinegar and the like.
- If you are a particularly assiduous cleaner or you have difficulty removing a mark, you can use specialist stone cleaning products and, if to set your mind at rest you can periodically apply a new coat of sealant.
For cleaning stone, wood and metal, simply use a soft cloth with water or a neutral detergent.
