TM Italia Avignon Kitchen Interior
AVIGNON KITCHEN INTERIOR
Discontinuity as an expressive language and representation of TM Italia’s innermost ultrarational essence, in a unique and balanced technology, design sophistication, modularity and custom manufacturing.
The new Avignon kitchen is the result of the partnership with Nicola Gallizia. It offers a concept of space division and combined systems that look beyond industrial functionality.
A cultural tribute to Pablo Picasso’s “Les Demoiselles d’Avignon”, with its visionary way of showing different perspectives simultaneously and introducing a new way of seeing reality. The “breaking up” of space and functions is the underlying theme of Avignon.
DESIGNER
NICOLA GALLIZIA
Warm, smooth, functional, minimal yet sophisticated are the keywords that best depict Nicola’s vision of the world of interior design.
Mostly, he gets his inspirations from the Milanese style as it is part of his roots, upbringing and identity.
In fact, although Nicola loves geometric shapes, simple angles and linear compositions, he focuses on the richness of the materials in order to give a strong identity to his works.
His favorite color palette ranges between neutral colors (shades of brown, brass, grey, earth colors), despite this however he has always shown a clear passion to play with hues, mainly as a way to emphasise his concept.

BALANCED MATERIAL DETAILS
Avignon’s design approach focused on deconstruction creates a harmonious movement of shapes and recesses that favours the combination of materials. There are two main materials used in the Avignon: Eucalyptus Frisé wood and Dover White marble. The premium Eucalyptus Frisè wood, painted opaque, sourced from FSC-certified species of wood and treated with a staining process free from synthetic dyes, reveals tiny ridges of regular, parallel veins when light hits the surface.
The Dover White marble, with its strong personality, features liquid and sinuous shapes with flows of grey and milkywhite tones. The stylistic signature of the design is the number 7.5, which represents the considerable thickness in centimetres of the tabletop, top and back panels, and the large handles, placed either horizontally or vertically on doors and fronts.
BOND BETWEEN HIGH CRAFTSMANSHIP AND HIDDEN HOME AUTOMATION
The island houses two hidden vertically-extractable units complete with electro-assisted mechanisms: one contains a multimedia monitor that can rotate to face the table or the island; the other is a storage designed to keep an extensive collection of spices and kitchen utensils.
The table is fitted with technical equipment that allows differentiated use, becoming, alternatively or simultaneously, a place for gathering and conviviality, work, play and entertainment. The HomeOffice equipment accommodates a laptop, mouse, keyboard, notebooks, and pens. It also features USB slots and ports.
