The Skyhatch range of roof access skylights are designed to provide a cost effective means of accessing your roof to carry out essential maintenance tasks.
TWO VERSIONS
SKYHATCH MANUAL
The Skyhatch manual is our entry level access skylight and does not require any power, this version of the Skyhatch is used where access to the roof space is less frequent and is commonly installed for maintenance access. The latest version features completely new gas strut opening mechanisms which now feature calibrated spring assisted openings, we have also added an extra grab handle and repositioned them so that they are mechanically fixed to the frame itself for added strength and durability.
SKYHATCH ELECTRIC
Skyhatch electric is an maintenance access unit primarily, and can also be stopped at any point to serve as a natural ventilation skylight. The extruded aluminum framework is thermally broken and supplied as standard in dual color Qualicoat approved powder coat. The skylight is operated by the intelligent LED wall switch supplied. Dual lift twin mechanisms provide reliable and stable support for the lid section when fully open.

GLAZING
A wide variety of glazing specifications are available for this product. Your technical sales advisor will be happy to answer any questions regarding specific glass specifications or glazing performance requirements. Otherwise, quotes include suitable and cost effective glazing proposals.
MANUAL OPERATION
The product is opened and closed using two handles mounted on the lid frame. The user is assisted by gas struts and springs mounted within the frame of the product.

SECURITY
This product is designed with security as a priority. The product is secured and locked by a centrally mounted rotating handle, supplied with a key. This mechanically fixes the lid at the two opening corners and cannot be tampered with from the outside.

PERFORMANCE AND WEATHERTIGHTNESS
The product comprises thermally broken aluminum sections consisting of polyamide thermal breaks and closed cell PIR insulation thermally isolating the inner and outer frame sections. Structural integrity is assured through the use of finite element analysis (FEA) and testing.
U-factors are calculated for each product and will be supplied in our quote. Further information and specific performance details can be obtained from your technical sales advisor.
The product is sealed to the curb using silicone and fixed in place with structural fixings which are concealed by a clip-on cover leaving a sleek external finish.
Sealing between the base frame and the lid frame is achieved using a combination of silicone bubble and blade seals. The product has been thoroughly tested.

-Easy Clean Coating : A coating applied to the external face of the glass that facilitates water run-off. Helps the glass stay cleaner for longer and makes cleaning easier.
-Special Color(s) : This product has separate inner and outer colors as standard. Each can be swapped for a special color.
-Curb Top Trim : Cover designed to mask the top of curbs which may be visible through glass when viewed from above. Includes detail to recess standard drywall.

-Remote Control : Allows the product to be opened and closed from a short range.
-Rain Sensor : Automatically closes the product when moisture is detected.
-Rain Sensor Isolator: An internally mounted wall switch that allows the rain sensor to be turned off so that it does not automatically close the product when moisture is detected.
-Thermostat: Automatically operates the product to regulate the temperature within the building.
-Keypad or Key Switch: Offers secure access either via an externally mounted four-digit numerical pass code keypad or a key switch.
-Battery Backup: Allows full operation of the product for a limited period in the event of a power failure.
-Home Automation: Allows the product to be operated by contact closure of a third-party home automation system.
