GLAZING
A wide variety of glazing specifications are available for this product. Your technical sales advisor will be happy to answer any questions regarding specific glass specifications or glazing performance requirements. Otherwise, quotes include suitable and cost effective glazing proposals.
INTENDED USE
Sliding skylight to provide natural daylight, day-to-day ventilation, weather resistance and
maintenance access. It can also be used for access but care must be taken to ensure suitable
protection is provided around the opening to prevent fall or injury. Protection (by others) can be in the
form of guiderails, balustrading or similar and should comply with any local building codes/safety
rules and regulations. If suitable protection is not provided the opening must be constantly attended
by someone.
SPECIFICATION DETAILS
Power is transmitted through a twin drive rack and pinion system with large diameter carriage wheels and hard anodized tracks to provide smooth travel when in motion. The Sliding Over Fixed features a one way solenoid clutch and built in anti lifting mechanism so the sliding section cannot be forcibly back driven.
Our Qualicoat approved polyester powder coated frame is supplied dual color as standard and is thermally broken using polyamide thermal breaks and closed cell PIR insulation. Improved thermal performance can be achieved by specifying triple glazing which is now a standard option with the latest frame design.
Flat sliding skylights can only be used for access if suitable balustrades are installed, Glazing Vision strongly recommends seeking guidance from building control before commencing works on site.
