The two awning models only differ in cassette shape. -1. markilux 779: An under-glass awning with a square, full cassette for those who prefer clear design. The the size of the cassette is 4.92 x 4.92 in. -2. markilux 879: An under-glass awning with a beautiful, round full cassette for those who love flowing shapes. The diameter of the cassette is 5.12 in. -Maximum size: up to 19.66 x 14.76 in / 13.12 x 19.68 in (awning width x drop) / with tracfix system: up to 19.68 x 13.12 in -Would you like a vertical awning under your patio roof as well? The awning for patio roofs can be perfectly combined with the markilux shadeplus. The markilux shadeplus for direct sun and privacy protection is integrated in the front profile of your markilux 779 / 879 and can be extended by a crank handle to increase your comfort on hot summer days.

-The fabric of this underroof awning is guided by lateral guide rails, with the optional markilux tracfix system. The smooth transition from the rail to the fabric provides the markilux 779 / 879 with wind stability - depends on the size up to wind resistance class 3 (max. up to wind force 6 (Beaufort) 23.61-29.83 mi/h) and is a perfect visual match for your patio roof -There are two invisible, independent gas pressure springs in the front profile, which ensure the optimal tension of the awning of the patio roof -The under-glass awning can be electrically operated and can be controlled conveniently via smartphone or tablet with the optional Somfy TaHoma Switch® smart home solution. -Select from a variety of lighting options and create that special ''something extra'' on your patio space: atmospheric light. Perfectly set the scene for your favorite spot - discreet lighting elements on your under-glass awning complete the evening ambience -1. LED-Line awning lighting: it is mounted on the guide rails or the fabric support bar of the under-glass awning, and is conveniently dimmable by remote control and extremely energy-efficient. With the markilux 779, LED-Line can also be integrated into the fabric cassette. -2. LED-Spots: They are attached to the fabric support bar of your underroof awning, dimmable and swiveling. With the markilux 779, they can be attached to the cassette as well.
