FEATURE
IN SHORT
-The Step solutions enables great daylight designs in buildings with large, open atriums. -The rows are connected by a factory finished flashing that ensures drainage of water between the rows. The rows must be supported by structural beams on the inside of the building. -Modular Skylights are delivered with a 10-year guarantee on modules and flashings. -VELUX skylight specialists offer support throughout design, specification and installation, including design of structural beams. Please note that structural beams and sub-constructions are not included in the VELUX delivery.
STEP LONGLIGHT 5-25°
Step Longlight 5-25° consist of multiple rows of Modular Skylights installed close to each other using joint brackets.
STEP WALL-MOUNTED LONGLIGHT 5-25°
Step Wall-mounted Longlight 5-25° consist of multiple row of Modular Skylights installed against a vertical wall in the top.
STEP RIDGELIGHT 25°
Step Ridgelight 25° consist of a self-supporting Ridgelight with one or more rows of modules below, on one or both sides or the ridge.
STEP RIDGELIGHT ON GIRDER 5-25°
Step Ridgelight on Girder 5-25° consist of Ridgelight installed in a supporting horizontal girder with one or more rows of modules below, on one or both sides of the ridge. The supporting girder enables a installation pitch between 5° and 25°.

FUNCTIONS
Modular Skylights are available in a wide range of standard sizes and functionalities:

Motorized comfort venting skylight module.
Actuator chain stroke 260 mm

Motorized smoke venting skylight module.
Actuator chain stroke up to 700 mm, which opens in less than 60 seconds.
DETAILS
- Modular Skylight system is a turnkey solution comprising prefabricated skylight modules with dedicated claddings, flashings and vapour barrier connection strip to allow for design of watertight rooflight and glass roof structures
- Comfort ventilation is possible via an integrated chain actuator that can be controlled with VELUX INTEGRA® system or with your preferred building management system. Smoke ventilation can only be controlled with your preferred building management system.
- For optimal daylight and heat control consider internal roller blinds that can be pre-mounted from the factory.
GLAZING
Modular Skylights come with standard low-energy double or triple glazing with the following features:
- Nsulated glazing (Ug values down to 0.5 W/m²K)
- Toughened outer glass
- Laminated inner safety glass
- Falling through safety
- Sound insulation (traffic, rain and hail)
- Warm edge spacer (protects insulation properties over time and minimizes the risk of condensation at pane edges)
- Step pane (leads water off the unit)
- Sun protection coating (optional)
PERFORMANCE
-The Modular Skylight profiles (sash and frame) are made of pultruded fiberglass (80%) and polyurethane composite (20%). The composite material provides high insulation performance and thermal stability as well as excellent profile stiffness and bending strength. -Due to the concept of prefabrication, we are able to test our products extensively against all thinkable hazards and stressful events. Tests are performed in controlled environments in accordance with harmonized standards for both Windows and doors and for Smoke and Heat control systems.
