THE SCOPE

In 2019, the museum’s new Kenneth C. Griffin Building, designed by renowned London-based architectural firm Foster + Partners, added 12,000 square feet of new gallery space. Through seamless collaboration with Matter Architecture Practice, the exhibition designer, Zone Display Cases responsively adapted to the Norton's budget constraints and demanding timeline and delivered a sophisticated installation which stunningly showcases the collection.

The installation itself was also challenging, as most cases were built into niches that were constructed by a general contractor. This required additional work on-site and several adjustments.

OUR SOLUTIONS

We have opted for a unique and unconventional design. The construction methodology that involved the use of different construction materials and required the involvement of several subcontractors.

Our solutions brought other challenges, but we have managed to resolve all of them and delivered beautiful cases within their budget and timeline. Thanks to our devoted project manager and extremely professional installation team.
