The unique, innovative properties of the KEIM Lignosil system have been documented as a result being awarded the European patent for the system and product. KEIM Lignosil-Color has also been awarded an innovation prize within the environmental fair "Oekofoire 2016".

KEIM LIGNOSIL-COLOR
KEIM Lignosil-Color is a patented opaque silicate paint coating for exterior wood. In combination with the primer KEIM Lignosil-Base/-W KEIM Lignosil-Color forms a durable weather protection coating, tested in accordance with DIN EN 927. The system is externally monitored by the Fraunhofer-WKI.

KEIM Lignosil-Base is the highly specialised long oil alkyd resin based primer for the silicate paint coating
KEIM Lignosil-Color. With the special formulation, KEIM Lignosil-Base solidifies the wood surface. KEIM Lignosil-Base contains unique, fine-particle silicate components that ensure an optimal bond to the paint coating KEIM Lignosil-Color.

KEIM LIGNOSIL-SCUDO
KEIM Lignosil-Scudo is a clear special coating in the Lignosil system and suitable for interior and exterior use. With this special formulation KEIM Lignosil-Scudo prevents the penetration of colouring wood ingredients. KEIM Lignosil-Scudo is used, if necessary, as an intermediate coating between the first and second colour application of KEIM Lignosil-Color or KEIM Lignosil-Inco.
