Novamix Fine Render Plasters
FINE RENDER PLASTERS
FINE RENDER PLASTERS
High performance plaster with extra smooth texture to be applied in one final single coat
Flexible decorative plaster – wall smoothing compound. It is suitable for application up to 5 mm of thickness in one layer, on substrates such as bricks or concrete, on walls and ceilings. It is hydrophobic and can be applied as a smooth final decorative coating on exterior walls and external thermal insulations, provided that a stable and crack-free substrate is ensured.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
CLEANING
Tools, buckets, tiles etc. can be cleaned with fresh and clean water as long as FINE RENDER mix is still fresh. After hardening occurs, cleaning can take place by mechanical means.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
Remove deteriorated and loose concrete parts until the substrate is solid, strong and rough. Surfaces must be clean, free of dust, dirt, oil, grease, rust and other elements that might compromise adhesion. Soak the substrate with water before applying FINE RENDER.
PREPARATION OF THE MIX
Mix the content of the 25kg paper bag containing FINE RENDER with 4,75 - 5,25 liters of clean and fresh water by means of appropriate electrical stirrer at low speed for 3 min, until a uniform mortar free of lumps is obtained. During hot periods and in general, it is recommended to avoid direct sunlight exposure of the materials (in powder or liquid form) before use, otherwise the working time is reduced. For small quantities mixing can be performed also by hand.
APPLICATION
The mixture is applied by means of a flat spatula or trowel, in horizontal and vertical surfaces applying enough pressure and compacting the material well to the surface. The maximum application thickness is 5 mm per layer. When higher thickness is required, apply subsequent coats when the preceding layer starts to harden. The mortar should be applied under normal conditions within 2 -3 hours of mixing. After this period do not try to mix it with water again. Low temperatures extend the life of the mortar while high temperatures reduce workability. After applying FINE RENDER, it should be allowed to mature in a relatively humid environment. Protect raw mortar from rapid drying by appropriate means.
RECOMMENDATIONS
- Avoid applications during direct sunlight exposure and/or strong wind and rain
- Apply only upon solid and well-prepared rough substrate
- Do not add water or additives once the mix starts to set
- Do not apply upon existing expansion or movement joints of the substrate
- Do not add cement, gypsum, lime or other materials that might affect the properties of the mortar
- Do not apply upon substrates subjected to rising humidity
- Do not exceed 5 mm in thickness per layer and 10 mm in case of spot restorations
- Do not apply when temperature of the substrate and environment is lower than +5°C and higher than +35°C
- Do not apply upon anhydrite-based substrates, metal surfaces or resilient substrates
- Application must be done by professional applicators
