Frame immateriality, glazing and panels that appear to be suspended, a large variety of materials that can be used, strong technological contents protected by 5 patents, refinement and care of details and easy to install, all this makes it a partition absolutely innovative and pioneering.
The integrated system of partition walls, with metal profiles of a total thickness of 80 mm / 3 1/8", allow to realize all possible structural, acoustic, equipment and flexibility needs, while also guaranteeing reconfigurability for future integrations.
W80 frame immateriality makes glazing and panels appear to be suspended and a large variety of materials that can be used and combined together (glass, wood, metal, fabric, equipped with shelves and cabinets) and it can be customised to suit any space. In addition to partitions for dividing spaces, cladding version is also available.
DESIGNERS
DANIELE DEL MISSIER
Born in Buenos Aires in 1952, obtains his degree in architecture at the IUAV in Venice.
From 1980 to 1997 works as an architect and designer at Bandiera and Facchini Architecture in Treviso. Between 1997 and 2001 he works at Ubis in Treviso. From 2001 to 2012 he is responsible for the R&D and Technical Department at Faram Spa.
Since 2012 he works as a freelance industrial designer. In 2013 he started his collaboration with Centro Progetti Tecno for the developments of the partition walls W80, W40 and the workstation system Clavis. Prizes and acknowledgments:

ELLIOT ENGINEERING & CONSULTING
Founded by enrico venesia and patrizia burlini, elliot engineering & consulting has been collaborating with tecno since 2013 on the design, project execution, development and distribution of the w80 and we partitions, offering tecno its own culture of know-how generated from a passion for the world of design, architecture and division of space.
With many years of international experience, the professional duo are specialists in industrial design, product engineering and technical-commercial consultancy, with an innovative, functional and sustainable approach that allows them to deliver increasingly cutting-edge projects. Since 2015, W80 has received the Reddot Design Award, the ADI Design Index Award and in 2018 the Mixology Award for the integration of the digital world with partition walls through the io.T system.
FEATURES
THE SITE APPROACH
The snap fitting system drastically reduces set-up time to anticipates site conditions by the ability to first install the profiles and delay the application of the panels and glasses in a second phase. Profiles can be cutted directly on job site making installation simple and speedy even for highly complex and large-size job sites, while also guaranteeing reconfigurability for possible future integrations.
5 INDUSTRIAL PATENTS
The technological core of the project, protected by 5 industrial patents, has made w80 an absolutely innovative partition making possibile a floating aesthetic appearance, the opportunity to integrate io.T technology and to achieve leed certification.
ACOUSTICS
W80 reaches a certified noise reduction of up to rw 48 db for double glazed walls and rw 56 db for the solid walls. The doors also stand out for their acoustic performance levels, as they have been lab-tested to guarantee outstanding results.
ACCESSORIES AND TECHNOLOGICAL INTEGRATION
Various technological devices can be housed within the cavity of the wall, forming an overall wall thickness of just 80 mm / 3 1/8"; including lights, sliding and venetian blinds, lcd on/off films, various accessories and monitors ranging form 10" room reservation systems to large 65" video-conference screens. In the solid version, equipment cable-ways and technical components, such as thermostats or electrical controls, can be embedded remaining completely concealed.
