Seen from the top, simplified in its essential lines, completed with grainy dots and soft shades of color, a majestic staircase changes into an explosion of rounded, celestial shapes that nearly mold the wall.
ARCH
Graphic soul of an arch, deliberately repeated in an irregular way, enlivened by delicate colors, it reminds of and renovates the simple scheme of a traditional Japanese fan.
DESIGNER
MAE ENGELGEER
Dutch designer, graduated in textile design at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute, before entering the glorious Master in Applied Arts at the Sandberg Institute, where she designs her first collection.
In 2013, she opens her own studio in Amsterdam, specialized in product design and development, installations and international collaborations. Minimalist, yet provided with a playful touch, her works feature a peculiar use of colors, geometrical shapes and regular patterns.
