Wavy Ropes

Race to the top of this wavy ropes course so you can feel like you are racing shooting stars down this cool slide. The Undulation provides fun new challenges for all children and what child doesn't love an awesome slide?

FEATURES

SUPPORT POSTS:

This will be 4 1/2" (114.3mm) OD Schedule 40 6061-T6 aluminum tubing with a minimum 15/64" (6.02mm) wall thickness. The posts will be connected to the contoured frame by 4" OD Schedule 40 6061-T6 aluminum sleeving into a coped housing to prevent exposed joints.

PAINT PROCESS:

All exposed aluminum will be finished with polyester powder coating. Prior to the powder coating application, the surface will undergo sandblasting and will be treated with an electrostatic primer having a minimum thickness of 1.5 mils

CONTOURED FRAME:

This will be 8 5/8" (219.08mm) OD Schedule 40 6061-T4 aluminum tubing with a minimum 21/64" (8.179mm) wall thickness.

CLIMBING NETS

These will be 20 mm diameter, polyester rope cable with UV protection and fire retardant solution. Each rope consists of 6 strands each containing at least 24 galvanized steel reinforcing strands within a polyester sheath, wrapped around a solid polymer core for a minimum of 144 steel reinforcing strands. Rope shall achieve a Class 7-8 Colourfastness rating.

SLIDE MATERIAL:

This will be UV protected LLDPE (linear low-density polyethylene).

PENDULUM STEPPER:

This will be a steel disc coated in a PAH free EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) rubber. The rubber disc will be suspended with a galvanized steel chain covered in a protective rubber hose.

COCONUT ROPE

This will be 120mm x 120mm square polypropylene rope connected to the structure with an eye-bolt system

BALL KNOTS

This will be a one-piece compressed aluminum ball, compressed in place with 150 tons force (667 kN) to prevent the connection from moving and causing premature cable wear.

BASIC FASTENERS

All fasteners for component attachments are stainless steel.

IGLOO CONNECTOR

This will be a stainless steel connector allowing for 1 plane of motion. The male end of the connector is secured to the rope ends with a stainless steel sleeve which is bolted to the female end on the frame.

INSTALLATION

This should be installed only by a licensed playground installer, trained and certified on the relevant playground standards in place in the region of installation, e.g., NPSI, CPSI or similar certified.
