Poggio Sannini blends all the charm and plasticity of the traditional form of manual working, proposing a sapient, innovative fusion between ancient methods and the need to obtain a product that is more regular in its dimensions and surface.
The productive system, again involving the repetitive creation of single pieces, uses the clays of the Sannini pits, confirming all the qualities, which have made Impruneta famous as a place and symbol. Poggio Sannini can be used both indoors and outdoors, for floors, walls, or as ceiling tiles.
Like a hand made tile, it requires a traditional mounting method with 5 mm joints and a post-laying treatment.
Flash version is also available if a ready-to-use product is required. On request also honed version available (h. 2,6 cm).

INSTALLATION
- Mortar or glue (middle bed).
- Minimum joint advised 5 mm.
- After installation and grouting, acidwashing is requested to remove dirt, cement and efflorescences.

USES
Due to its physical-technical characteristics, “Poggio Sannini” can be installed in interiors or exteriors. Laying in freezing areas is allowed if the material is correctly installed and does not undergo any other surface treatment.
For inside use the material requires a treatment or we recommend the use of our factory-finished series, see chapter “Flash System”.
AVAILABLE ALSO IN "FLASH SYSTEM" VERSION
Upon request The Poggio Sannini Sannini treated with Flashsystem l’an exclusive method of treatment carried out in the factory by Sannini. It entails a complete cycle of working, using avantgarde techniques and products studied to preserve the terracotta’s natural qualities as a sign of respect to the environment and its ecosystem. All materials used for the treatment of Flash are non-toxic, and being water-based, do not contain solvents. Essential feature of Flashsystem is its in-depth protection which guarantees resistance to stains, damp rings and efflorescences, although the original transpiring nature of the material is maintained. As a consequence, the cladding with these ready-to-use products presents itself with the colour and aspect of terracotta treated traditionally on site with acids and waxing. Such operations become superfluous since Flash products do not alter when laid if the mounting instructions are followed correctly.>>> read more

EXAMPLE OF PROJECT CARRIED OUT BY THIS PRODUCT
The project refers to the restoration and expansion of the ex Military Hospital located on the Maddalena Island in Sardinia, where the G8 summit of 2009 had to take place but moved then to L'Aquila after the earthquake on April 6th. The final structure, binding the old and new building, creates an articulated and complete receptive complex of highest security level, quality and equipments. The architect Studio Archea Associated from Florence selected a Cotto flooring for the common areas, customized by Sannini on base of the product line Poggio, creating a full body brown-ochre color, diagonally pre-cut and inserted by granite fragments. These Cotto elements were delivered already endtreated with the application "FlashSystem", ready so to be immediately laid and granting to the workers a relevant time saving and reducing eventual difficulties for a treatment on site.
