General building authority approval no. Z-9.1-770 was issued for the HSK systems in November 2014. Innovative ideas require innovative solutions – and that’s exactly what we have delivered.

We have already implemented several construction projects with the HSK system in the last few years, with permission in each individual case. MATERIALS

The HSK systems consist of HSK perforated metal plates and a corresponding adhesive. This forms the bond between the wood and steel. The wood is cut parallel to the grain, the cavity is filled with adhesive, and the HSK perforated metal plate is inserted. The holes in the HSK perforated metal plate acts as adhesive anchors and can withstand enormous force. The selected plate thickness and rating are intended to ensure that, in the event of failure, the steel plate begins to yield before the wood cracks.

- Whole, laminated, cross-laminated or veneer timber  - Whole timber at least strength class C24   - Laminated timber compliant with valid product standards   - Cross-laminated and veneer timber pursuant to building authority approval   - Prior inspection of wood (wood moisture, pests, etc.)   - Width of beams and thickness of wooden slabs must be at least 40 mm

- Adhesive based on polyurethane or epoxy resin
